A 24 year old boy (Janta) is great fan of the 80s Punjabi film actress Preeti Sapru. One day, one of his friends from village (Leela Singh) tells him that his sister-in-law is lookalike of Preeti Sapru. He begs him to arrange his marriage with her. Leela Singh takes him with him to his brother-in-law's marriage. Some problems arise in marriage and Janta comes forward to solve them and becomes a cult hero. This helps him win the love of Mahno, the lookalike girl of Preeti Sapru.
