During the 1990s in Punjab, women were not allowed to accompany men to marriage processions, and the groom's mother was not allowed to attend wedding rituals. A young woman Rani intends to put an end to these ritual in the male-chauvinist society. Rani starts building a team with other women, fights for women's rights, and succeeds in her plans. The film is a satirical take on the patriarchal society and the rituals prevalent back in the day.
