François (André Dussollier, The Crime is Mine) and Annie (Sabine Azéma) have been married for 50 years, and are happily enjoying their retirement. While decluttering the attic one day, François discovers a shocking secret - a stash of love letters revealing his wife's affair from 40 years ago. François is faced with a tough decision: Does he take the high road and let bygones be bygones? Or does he call in favours from his past life as a French general to track down the man who has humiliated him?
