Enlightened By Fire tells the story of Esteban, a 40-year-old man, who was sent to fight on Malvinas Islands (also known as the Falkland Islands) in 1982 at the age of 18.A friend's attempted suicide triggers memories of the times he shared with two young privates, Vargas the suicide, and Juan who was killed on the battlefield. Thus, the horrors of war itself, together with the twin miseries of hunger and cold weather are interwoven with the stories of friendship and fellowship.
