ONE OFF SCREENING!
What happens when your very own mincing, makeup-sporting Mini Me comes to stay--forever? In Breakfast with Scot, a couple takes on an 11-year-old with a difference.
Eric McNally (Tom Cavanagh) is a gay retired hockey player turned television sportscaster who lives with his partner Sam (Ben Shenkman), a sports lawyer. When Sam unexpectedly becomes the legal guardian of his brother's stepson, Scot (Noah Bernett), their lives are turned upside down.
If Sam seems comfortable with his orientation, Eric keeps their four-year relationship a secret for the sake of his career.
Until he makes his gardenia-scented entrance, Breakfast with Scot appears to be a comedy about gay parenting, except Scot isn't a typical boy. He sings show tunes, wears feather boas, and makes "T"-shaped pancakes (because his first name ends with one "T").
As an ex-Toronto Maple Leaf, Eric finds Scot's flamboyance discomforting, so he encourages him to play hockey. To his surprise, the kid takes to the ice like a fish to water, but as Scot spends more time with the athletes than the outcasts, he develops a mean streak, which presents even more of a challenge to his guardians.
A heartwarming Christmas comedy that teaches you it’s better to be yourself that conform to gender stereotypes.
